Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 20, 2026

Your play, explained clearly. Brainy saves game progress and assessment records on your device. The app does not include product analytics, advertising attribution, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs. The website itself has no advertising or analytics scripts.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy explains how the Brainy team (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Brainy iOS app, visit brainy.thematrixapp.com, or contact us. It covers both information processed locally on your device and information received by us or our service providers. Contact us using the details below with privacy questions or requests.

2. Information we handle

Information saved on your device

Brainy stores preferences, onboarding choices, game progress, completed levels, difficulty settings, workout history, training time, and streak information locally. Onboarding may ask about your goals, preferred training time, age range, or other preferences to tailor your experience.

Answers and the latest saved record for each assessment are stored locally in the app. The app does not upload your answers, assessment results, or game progress to a Brainy server, and does not send assessment analytics events. Device backups and keychain storage follow your Apple device settings.

Device and connection information

Support information can include device model, operating system, app version, and app user identifiers. Service requests may expose an IP address and related technical connection information.

Purchases

Apple processes App Store payments. Brainy uses StoreKit transaction information, product identifiers, purchase and expiration status, and entitlement information to unlock and restore purchases. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.

Support and information you share

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and attachments. The app’s support email can include an app user identifier, device model, system and app version, language, and network type. The app opens your mail app with a draft; it does not send that email automatically. You can review, edit, or cancel it before sending. Do not send passwords, full payment card details, or sensitive assessment answers. If you choose to share an assessment result using a system sharing option, your chosen destination processes that content under its own rules.

Website visits

This website serves its fonts, images, and scripts from our own domain. It does not itself set analytics cookies, use tracking pixels, or run third-party advertising scripts. The company server or hosting provider may process standard access and security logs, including IP address, requested URL, browser information, timestamp, and error information. Following an external link, such as an App Store or Apple support link, opens a service governed by that provider’s privacy policy.

3. How we use information

  • Provide games, personalize daily workouts, preserve preferences, and show progress.
  • Calculate and display the in-app assessment results you request.
  • Verify purchase entitlements and restore eligible purchases.
  • Resolve reported issues, secure services, prevent misuse, and respond to support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect legitimate rights.

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on providing the service you request, legitimate interests such as reliability and security where appropriate, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent where required. You can withdraw consent for consent-based processing without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

4. Service providers and disclosure

The current app integrates the following services:

  • Apple: App Store transactions, subscription management, purchase restoration, and platform services.

Hosting, infrastructure, and email providers also process information needed to deliver their services. Providers may handle data in countries other than yours. Where required, appropriate safeguards must apply to international transfers. Apple’s privacy information is available from Apple.

We may disclose relevant information when legally required, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a reorganization or business transfer subject to applicable privacy protections. This policy does not authorize advertising use of your individual assessment answers or medical profiling from those answers.

5. Tracking and device permissions

Brainy does not include advertising attribution or product analytics SDKs, access the advertising identifier (IDFA), or request App Tracking Transparency permission. It does not track you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising.

Purchases and support information are still processed as described in this policy. Removing tracking and analytics does not mean the app collects no data.

6. Retention and security

Local game and assessment records remain on your device until they are replaced, removed by an applicable reset or deletion action, or deleted with the app’s data. Device backups and keychain information may persist according to Apple’s settings and behavior. Removing the app does not automatically remove support records, or Apple transaction records.

We keep remotely processed information for as long as needed for the stated purpose, including service operation, support, security, disputes, and legal requirements. Retention depends on the type of record and the provider’s configured retention. When information is no longer needed, it should be deleted or de-identified. Contact us for details about records associated with you.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, such as transport encryption and access restrictions, to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Avoid including sensitive information in support messages unless necessary to resolve your request.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may be able to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data protection authority. Some jurisdictions also provide rights to opt out of sale or sharing for advertising, or limit certain uses of sensitive information. You may contact us to exercise any rights that apply to your situation, without unlawful discrimination.

Send requests to the email address below with “Brainy privacy request” in the subject. We may need proportionate information to verify identity and locate the relevant records. We may retain records required by law and explain any applicable limitation on your request. We cannot directly inspect or delete records held only on your device; we can help you identify the available local deletion steps. Subscription cancellation is separate from a privacy request and must be managed through Apple.

8. Children’s privacy

Brainy is not directed to children under 13 or an equivalent minimum age where local law sets one. An App Store age rating describes content and does not by itself establish eligibility to consent to data processing. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information without the required permission should contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as features, providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice of material changes where appropriate. If a new use requires consent, we will request it before that use.
